Period Features with Modern Furniture

July 15, 2021 by admin

This client has a beautiful period home with high ceilings, and this room has a four poster bed. Modern, store-bought furniture couldn’t quite compliment the dimensions, and the client needed plenty of space for clothing and personal belongings. How do you make the most of your home’s period features with modern furniture? You create your own, unique fittings.

We custom built a complete storage solution against this gable wall. Wardrobes, shelving, cubbyholes, a vanity unit, a book case and a chest of drawers in this gorgeous cornflower blue. Baskets can be added to the shelving for tidy storage. This is a large, versatile space, and a statement furniture piece was needed for the impact! And the Client loves it!

If you have a room you want to makeover, contact us to discuss your design!

Highly recommend for service, we bought 4 units from oakline over 20 years ago (delighted with them) and recently needed their support.

We finished some home improvements and one of our Oakline units needed some adjustment to fit in the altered space. We got in touch with Gearoid about possible modifications. He came out, and advised us that we could make it fit ourselves with some small adjustments. He took the time to walk us through how it was assembled and gave us the step by step guidance we needed. No big upsell, no fees just genuine long term customer service. A real gentleman and a super company 🙏

50+ years and 4 generations of family experience shines through with this company. I would trust any member of this family to come into any room in the house and help a customer to realise their vision and provide functionality and style in the furniture they manufacture. If you have any fitted furniture requirements I can, with my hand on my heart recommend visiting this staple of Ranelagh village and letting them help you to transform your home.
