Four generations of the Roche family, making furniture for Dublin homes that’s built to be handed down.

Oakline started in Ranelagh in 1959.
Since then it has passed through four generations of the Roche family. The woodworking skills were handed down, and so was the know-how of running the business itself.
The thinking behind what we make hasn’t changed. We don’t build furniture to last a few years. We build heirlooms, pieces meant to pass from one generation to the next.
Custom-built, bespoke furniture is what we love doing, and making sure our customers are happy is the main priority.

There are no standard sizes. Every piece is built for your room, including the alcove that’s a few centimetres off and the ceiling that isn’t quite level.
Traditional skills and values, combined with modern professional design, new technologies and up-to-date methods.
We don’t disappear once the job is done. One customer bought four units from us over 20 years ago. When one needed an adjustment, Gearóid came out and walked him through it, with no upsell.
When you get in touch, you’ll usually be talking to Cathal.

Every job follows the same steps, whether it’s a single alcove unit or a full kitchen. You’ll know what’s happening at each stage.
Tell us what you have in mind, by phone or by email. We’ll talk through the room, how you use it and what you’d like it to do.
We visit your home, look at the space properly and take accurate measurements.
We design the layout around your room and talk you through it before anything is made.
Your furniture is built to the design you’ve agreed.
We handle the final installation and manage any subcontract work, so you have one point of contact.
We make bespoke furniture for Dublin homes, room by room.

Kitchens designed around your room and the way you cook, then built and fitted by us.
